A macOS app that interrogates half-baked ideas until they're build-ready. Local-only, private by default.

We collect nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry. We don't know you exist.
Your ideas stay on your Mac. Every message, grilling turn, and generated PRD is processed entirely on-device using Gemma 4 via Apple's MLX framework. Nothing is sent to us or any third party.
Network use. Forjr contacts HuggingFace exactly once per model, to download weights on first use (~2.5GB for grilling, ~13GB for PRD generation). After that, the app works offline.
Local storage. PRD history, session transcripts, preferences, and cached model weights live in your app sandbox (Application Support). Nothing is synced or uploaded. Delete the app or clear history from Preferences to remove them.
Third-party SDKs. None. No analytics, no crash reporting, no ad networks.
Children. We don't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Forjr is a macOS app that interrogates product ideas and outputs a structured PRD. Requires macOS 26.2+ and Apple Silicon.
Use it for personal or professional purposes. Don't reverse-engineer or redistribute it. Don't use it for anything illegal.
The grilling questions and generated PRDs are AI output and may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. Don't rely on them for legal, financial, medical, or safety-sensitive decisions without human review.
You own the ideas you put in and the PRDs you get out. We claim no rights to your content.
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We're not liable for damages arising from your use of the app.
This app is also subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Email-only. One human replies.
The grilling model is stuck at 0% — what do I do?
Quit and relaunch. If a previous aborted download left partial cache, Forjr clears it on next start. If it still hangs, your network probably can't reach huggingface.co.
My first /generate is taking forever.
The generator model is ~13GB on first use. One-time download, then it runs locally in ~30s per PRD. Subsequent /generate calls don't redownload.
Where is my history stored?
Locally, inside the app sandbox at ~/Library/Containers/MS-Apps.Forjr/Data/. Preferences › History shows every PRD you've generated. Delete the app to wipe it.
Can I export to Obsidian?
Yes. Preferences › set your vault path, then /export obsidian after a PRD renders. /export without a target opens the native save panel.
Does Forjr send my ideas anywhere?
No. All inference runs locally via MLX. The only network calls are the one-time model downloads from HuggingFace.
